Frequently asked questions

Do you have any queries about the nursery care we provide? Please feel free to get in touch with us. Some of the most common questions we are asked are answered on this page, but you are welcome to get in touch if you have an enquiry that isn’t addressed here. Our friendly team will be more than happy to help you. Based in Walderslade village, we look after children from Medway and Maidstone. Why not take a look at our setting on our gallery page?

If you require information about government funding for pre-school education, please get in touch. We will be happy to answer your queries, and can help you understand what you are entitled to.

Yes! We accept 2-year-old funding, 3-year-old funding and 30 hours funding for working parents. Please note a child is eligible for funding the term after their third birthday. For further information on how to find out if you are eligible for 30 hours funding please visit www.childcarechoices.gov.uk

Call Buttercups as soon as possible, and don't panic! Your child will be well cared for. Attempts should be made to contact an alternative adult to collect your child on your behalf.
You will be charged a late fee for a re-occuring late collection.

Your child should be kept at home for at least 48 hours after the last bout of sickness/diarrhoea. For more information please see our Sickness Policy (call us for details).

Speak to a Director who will be able to tell you if there is space on the day required. This is something that does not always have to be booked in advance, however payment on the day is required.

Yes we do. With prior permission from parents/carers (as per your contract), we take the children to explore the local environment.

Speak immediately to a Director who can assist you with a payment plan. Without prior consent from a Director, a late fee charge of 10% of the outstanding bill will be applied to your next bill.

Please feel free to come in at any time, and speak to your designated key person, a Director, or a SENCO advisor.
